I transform my lived experience into art that explores human perception and sensitivity. 

 

My artwork is shaped by the cultural and physical terrains of the American Midwest and Southwest, especially Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas and Chicago, Illinois. 

 

My work embodies a careful dialogue with art historical movements, yet prioritizes relevance and participation. 

 

I work to cultivate a delicate sensitivity to significant aspects of American cultural life. This subject-matter is then transformed by my aesthetic and intellectual interests into artistic expression.

For the past ten years I have been producing culturally influential works at the frontier of new media, most visibly, at https://www.cameronsow.com. My body of work includes web design, interactive media, digital interfaces, meme-mimetic fine art, and more.  More recently, I have focused on drawing, digital works on paper, photography, and a range of mixed media and multimedia formats.

I am especially interested in learning about interactions of color, line and form.
